Repeat defect detection
DFT systems enjoy extensive repeat defect detection capability and algorithms. When a repeat defect is detected, the system alerts the operator and can enable a digital output. The CD position and repeat interval are provided. 

Defect density and cluster detection, to allow detection of defect flurries (more than "n" defects in "x" unit area) for large areas and small areas
System can be programmed for multiple density thresholds.

Proximity check
System calculates the proximity of defects and compares the defect type/size/proximity against the quality standards.

Password protection
Systems are complete with password protection; Operator, Engineer and System Administrator levels. 

Statistics on each defect
Each defect record includes information about the defect optical and dimensional characteristics.

Lot and Roll reports
System generates reports by Lot (total area, number of defects by type and size, etc.) and/or Roll. 

Roll recall
System archives the last month of production to allow recall any lot, roll or sheet and display its defect map and defect data.

Defect marking
System provides digital outputs to a customer-supplied PLC for enabling a markers, alarms, reject gates, etc.

Data archiving
DFT systems provide a data stream of information for lot, sheet, roll, defect position, defect parameters, etc. in a Dbase format. Other formats are available.
