Glass Inspection

Glass is the dominant media employed for Thin Film, CPV and CPV modules. For over twenty years, Dark Field Technologies has been the vanguard, leading the Glass industry with new laser and camera technologies, including retro-reflective laser systems for float glass inspection, telecentric lasers and cameras for low-e glass, and special optical systems for curved and display glass.

NxtGen™ produces over 500 million pixels (each with 256 gray scale levels) for a panel in three seconds and analyzes this data in real time. Another Dark Field first, NxtGen™ systems concurrently detect:

• Glass defects.
• Washer residue.
• Warp and contour metrology.
• Panel length, width and squareness.
• Edge and corner defects.

Dark Field Technologies offers its customers full scale production line testing of glass panels in its production line simulator, which achieves line speeds of 80 ft./min (25 m/min.).
